I don't want to to make apologies to "homosexualism", a pathetic word i have just read in a well-known newspaper in my country (Peru). But reality is totally different from some people´s thoughts. Just that.
Being gay is the most normal thing in the world, the same if we are straight, bi or trans. You are simply not allowed to be treated different for your sexual orientation.
ORIENTATION. I remarked that word because, according to some studies, we are genetically determined to love either a man or a woman, or both. It's not that , all of a sudden, you decided to be gay. For that reason, as it is a non-thinkable decision, we can't do absolutely nothing. We are who we are.
And why is all of this for? Some weeks ago a big debate was started in Peru, because of a well-prepared law which is about to be discussed at the Congress. Unfortunatelly, the enormous power of religion ( especially Catholicism ) is such strong here that almost all stuffs have tobe according to it.
What nobody seems to realize is that it is a human-rights issue, where almost 3 million of peruvians would be beneficiated. At the moment, civil union between same-sex couples is a reality in countries such as Argentina, some states in the U.S., Uruguay, France, England and so on. So why is not the same in my country? Because of past thoughts, far from reality and without a cientific support.
I beg for your comments, supporting my point of view, or your reasons to be against this law. It is already a triumph that equally marriage is being discussed here.
